Trade shows, virtual or in-person, allow for brands, industry professionals, and media to connect and debut their latest technology advancements. Last year, COVID-19 forced many trade shows, like the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), to host a completely virtual event consisting of virtual exhibits, presentations, and more. After the success of 2021’s virtual shows, many trade shows plan to take a hybrid approach of both in-person and virtual events going forward. 

With CES 2022 less than six months away, we outlined important activities for your brand to focus on to help make planning easier.



First Steps

Throughout September and October, your brand should start planning its CES 2022 strategy. To ensure you are getting the most out of the show and staying organized, our team recommends researching award submissions and media opportunities that are a potential fit for your brand. 


While completing your research, create a document detailing deadlines, costs, and important submission details to ensure you have all the necessary materials for each submission. Currently, registration for CES 2022 is not open, but your brand can sign up to be notified once registration starts, giving you the opportunity to take advantage of early-bird pricing.


As trade show veterans, our team recommends submitting for a few prestigious awards each year. These include, but are not limited to the CES Innovation Awards, TWICE Picks, Dalerscope IMPACT! Awards, and many more. Deadlines for some of these awards are not available yet, so we encourage you to sign up for updates to stay informed.



Show Prep

By November and December, your brand’s CES strategy should be in full swing! During these months, your brand must finalize its press materials, exhibition, and other important items needed for its public relations strategy. Now is the perfect time for your brand to start conducting outreach to the show’s confirmed media attendees. Start organizing your press meeting calendar to help you keep track of your brand’s scheduled meetings, and ensure each contact has plenty of time to learn about your brand and product announcements.



Showtime and Beyond  

As CES 2022 arrives, your brand will be more than prepared after months of hard work and meticulous planning. Walking the showroom floor can be busy, so it is important to plan in advance. To keep you organized and ensure you are making the most of the show, confirm your scheduled meetings for the week, and map out each day. After the show, continue to foster the relationships you made and thank your contacts for taking the time to meet with you.
