The CES 2022 countdown is on! Since we first looked at the upcoming trade show, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has released updates regarding health and safety protocols, mask mandates, and more. To help your brand prepare for show day, we covered the most important information your brand should be aware of.
Health and Safety Updates
In order to keep all attendees healthy and safe, CTA is requiring all attendees to provide proof of vaccination. Before attending the show, U.S.-based attendees must submit proof of vaccination to the free mobile app, CLEAR. The app’s Health Pass feature is a simple and secure way for CES to keep track of attendee’s vaccination records.
Protocols are slightly different for international attendees. Before boarding their flight to the United States, attendees will have to provide a negative COVID-19 test. Similar to U.S.- based attendees, international attendees will have to upload their vaccination records to a safe, online platform that CES will provide more information on in October.
In addition, CES announced it will be following Nevada’s mask mandate and as of right now, all attendees will be required to wear a mask while in the convention center. CES will provide on-site access to health and medical aid, as well as improved ventilation systems to ensure the well-being of attendees. As COVID-19 health and safety protocols are constantly changing, our team recommends regularly reviewing any updates before attending the show.
Upcoming Deadlines
Registration for attendees is now open and there are three different registration types to choose from: industry attendees, media, and exhibitors. Attendees have ample time to register for the show in January but should sign up as soon as possible to take advantage of early bird registration.
Our team always recommends that exhibitors submit for a few prestigious awards every year. Currently, CTA’s Integrator of the Year Award is open to nominations with an early-bird deadline of October 15, 2021.
