The Challenge
Mackie is known worldwide as a leading developer of high-quality and affordable professional audio systems. From loudspeakers and mixers to headphones and microphones, the brand produces premium audio and recording equipment for both music industry professionals and at-home musicians. In order to establish Mackie as a key audio expert and to refocus the light on the legacy and magic of the brand, we developed a multi-faceted strategy consisting of public relations, influencer marketing, and social media marketing efforts.
The Strategy
When crafting Mackie’s public relations strategy, our goal was to reach consumers who would benefit from the brand’s gear – first targeting both digital and traditional media. To further the brand’s credibility and exposure, we launched an influencer marketing strategy that resulted in a variety of partnerships across YouTube, Twitch, and Instagram. Lastly, the team implemented an aggressive social media advertising campaign with the goal of growing the brand’s social media following, YouTube viewers, and subscription base.
The Results
Our media efforts resulted in no fewer than 27 million impressions per month and coverage in top-tier publications such as, WIRECUTTER, CNN, Engadget, PC Mag, and more. Over the course of 12 months, Mackie received over a total of 2 billion media impressions, more than 218 media placements, and six prominent influencer partnerships that resulted in engagement rates as high as 26%.
Our team of talented digital marketers grew Mackie’s Instagram following by 63%, increased their Facebook following by 17%, and more than doubled the brand’s YouTube subscribers.
