Steve Jobs, one of the world’s most memorable people in modern technology passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 due to cancer. All of us here at lotus823 are truly saddened by the news, but know that he left a legacy behind that will forever impact our lives, and the lives of many.

Because of his bold vision and innovations in the world of consumer electronics, he gave birth to great products that in turn spurred other creative minds to create new genres of accessories, products and more, based around the Apple aesthetic. Truth be told, this blog post is being written on a MacBook Pro and millions of people found out about his passing on their iPhones – now that says something! We can truly look at our technology a little differently after reading the previous line!
His life’s work has touched so many people, maybe even everyone. Can you think of someone in your life right now that hasn’t been impacted by the technology that he has brought to our world?
When we lose such an insightful and brilliant person in our world, you can’t help but look back on some of the most impactful speech remarks. Here is a quote from Steve Jobs at the Stanford University commencement address in 2005:
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
