Still craving an afternoon pick-me-up after three cups? Try a more natural route.

Caffeine AdditionHere at lotus823, we’re big on caffeine. Or, at least some of us are. My average day consists of three cups of coffee, two diet cokes, one green tea, and often, a red bull. According to WebMD, moderate amounts of caffeine (300mg or about three cups of coffee) should do you no harm. Caffeine improves alertness, concentration, energy, clear-headedness, and feelings of sociability.

At high levels, however, (more than 744 mg per day), caffeine may increase calcium and magnesium loss in urine, cause a slight, temporary rise in heart rate and blood pressure, and, of course, keep you up at night.
