As the holiday season quickly approaches, many companies and brands get into the spirit of helping others. Giving back to communities, donating to charities, and starting foundations are just a few ways that many practice philanthropy during this time of the year. While increasing sales during the holidays is certainly important for businesses, something equally important is investing your time in helping others.
Philanthropic Companies and Brands
Christmas Décor Decorated Family
Christmas Décor is a lighting company with franchises nationwide. They can be hired to professionally decorate your home for Christmas, but there is something quite special about them.
With many men and women deployed overseas, the holidays can be a tough time for some families. The Christmas Décor Decorated Family initiative encourages these franchises to donate products, resources and time to light up homes of military families. Each year, military families are nominated by friends and families to be chosen to receive this special gift.
Twice as Warm
Here in the northeast, the chill in the air is setting in. With winter quickly approaching, many are left with limited resources, but Twice as Warm is making it possible to keep those warm throughout the winter months.
What began in 2010 with a simple goal of providing winter clothing to people in need has become a successful donation program dubbed “Wear One, Give One”. For every purchase made, Twice as Warm provides USA-made clothing to local shelters and organizations.
lotus823 and The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties
Last week, our digital marketing team made another visit to our friends at The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Being that their garden is closed, this time around we had a chance to work in their warehouse. In preparation for Thanksgiving, we helped in the process of sorting and packaging all of the donated food and household items. It was another great opportunity for our team to help those in need.
