
The Challenge
TEDxAsburyPark (formerly TEDxNavesink) is the largest and highest-rated TEDx conference on the east coast. The volunteer-based organization sponsors a series of events throughout the year dedicated to education, community, innovation, and “ideas worth spreading.”
In 2018, TEDxAsburyPark sought a completely revamped, re-designed website for their annual event at the Jersey Shore. To aid in meeting these goals, lotus823 developed an action plan to tackle damaging SEO errors and to design a modern, clean website that better met the brand’s look after several seasons.
The Strategy

To execute a successful website design and SEO strategy, lotus823 first analyzed TEDxAsburyPark’s current website. Activities included conducting an SEO and site performance audit, as well as performing keyword research and a content optimization analysis.
After a thorough website and ranking audit, lotus823 created and implemented a comprehensive SEO strategy, including a Meta Data refresh, and image and copy optimizations. Looking to some of the world’s largest TEDx conference websites as inspiration, lotus823 revived the TEDxAsburyPark website to have a modern look that highlights the organization’s speakers, volunteers, and sponsors, all in a user-friendly experience.
We also assisted with ongoing website maintenance and optimizations to ensure sustained website health.
As a result of our integrated marketing strategy, lotus823 assisted in driving traffic and awareness of TEDxAsburyPark’s annual event at the Jersey Shore.
Additionally, our website design and SEO strategy for TEDxAsburyPark resulted in higher levels of traffic and increased keyword rankings on Google and other search engines. With improved usability and design, alongside on-page SEO, the website resulted in an increase in organic traffic of 350% year-over-year (YOY), and increased keyword rankings of more than 200% YOY.
