Business Development Executive


Do you love networking, learning new things, and understand marketing? lotus823 is looking for a Business Development Executive to help us scale our agency and grow our client base. You’ll be responsible for actively prospecting and pitching new partners that fit the agency’s portfolio in an effort to achieve business growth goals. 

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, organized, and energized individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will be focused on building key relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and winning new contracts with ideal partners for lotus823. 


  • Prospecting and proactively recruiting new qualified partners
  • Source new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, direct messages, and networking events
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel within target partner organizations
  • Participate in new business activity often by providing digital intel on companies and markets
  • Developing proposals, presentation decks, and contracts
  • Meet assigned expectations for profitability
  • Complete partner account plans that meet company standards
  • Maintain high partner satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Attend networking events to grow the lead database
  • Attend and network at industry Trade Shows as directed or suggested by lotus823

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sales or business development role
  • Experience in at least one of the following industries: consumer electronics, home and housewares, pet, food, health and wellness tech, beauty
  • A proven track record of closing sales or new business deals
  • Abilities and aptitude in sales, business development, customer interaction and relationship building is required
  • Highly motivated, organized, outgoing and self-driven individual
  • Strong video and phone presence and excellent writing skills
  • Excellent verbal communications skills and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of modern marketing techniques
  • A passion for brand building and creativity
  • Overnight travel may be required a few times per year
  • Travel for in-person presentations and meetings may be required to land new business deals


  • Salary: $55,000-$60,000 plus commission
  • No commission cap
